The concise part is a little deceptive, as it is upwards of 350 pages. It does give you an amount of information that is worth your time though and makes for a handy reference book to keep on hand. The text itself gets a little dry though, and makes it a chore to read through cover to cover. I found myself confused as to how to treat this book, and ultimately I kept it on my shelf as a reminder of the different treatment therapies' ptsd methodology.

This book is very helpful for the understanding of PTSD. It is a useful resource for research papers and study on this topic.

This was required for a grad school course on trauma. Easy to read and understand. Very helpful for understanding how PTSD goes way beyond the rigid criteria in the DSM-IV-TR.

Great resource on what is known, been researched, and is being researched regarding PTSD. Originally had to purchase for a class but the book has been invaluable for knowledge gain and understanding about treating PTSD and its impact.
