ABOUT THE AUTHOR
This book has showed me how easily we allow our biases to affect the way we treat and relate to others, particularly in children. It begins with an honest and open conversation that forces us to confront our inner fair and biases that we sometimes unintentionally evoke when dealing with children unlike our own. It then gives us a guide to lovingly implement the changes necessary to deal with children in a way that is kind and fair. This step-by-step guide allows us to view each child in as the complicated individuals they are and teaches us how to love them all equally while guiding them to reach their full potential. I would recommend this book to everyone involved with the education of children or work with children in some capacity. The writers of this book did a phenomenal job! 5 stars!!
This book doesn’t have easy answers or a formula to follow, but it has a lot of questions and ideas i continue to think about. Sometimes the questions alone will change you. This is a good addition to a staff library, if you have one.
Fantastic and informative book
This book is amazing!Dives right into the issues of racial equity and is a huge learning tool for everyone in my opinion! This should be reading material in high school and at the very least college prep!Highly recommended!!
This book is excellent at highlighting the high-level points of deconstructing implicit bias, and will give nearly any speaker some semblance of knowledge in the subject. This book is far from all-encompassing or comprehensive, but there are some great messages here.
