Critical reading for anyone who loves someone with NF2. I laughed, cried, and learned SO MUCH.

Soundtrack of Silence is one of the most beautiful books I have ever read. Matt Hay's story moved me to tears more than once, yet left me feeling grateful and full of hope. The writing is stunning, the honesty is rare, and the emotional vulnerability is extraordinary. If you are looking for a book that reminds you what truly matters in life, this is it.

This is an outstanding read! Hay writes with honesty, clarity, and the sort of humor that makes me know we’d be good friends. I connected with this book on so many levels, from nerve tumors to twins. Soundtrack of Silence is not inspirational. It is a model for living with intention, gratitude and purpose with a driving rhythm to keep you moving (and reading).

I had the pleasure of hearing Matt being interviewed on NPR sometime back and wrote the title of the book down so that I could get it as soon as our library had it available. It did not disappoint! I will be recommending this to everyone I know.

An amazing and inspirational story. Highly recommend to watch his interview that aired on WGN
