I appreciate the practical reflections on what makes successful adults and translating that to the needs of today's young people. There are ways that we can prepare for an unknown future reality through the four currencies. Those resonated with my own personal development as well as the way I have interacted with young people today.

A thought provoking and helpful framework to guide educators in how to best support students so they can thrive in uncertain times. I was fortunate enough to use this book at the Kupu Hou workshop at Mid-Pacific Institute, and the author herself led us through the text and did an incredible job of guiding us in applying the “currencies” she describes, while the MPI team supported us in using the ASPIRE framework to develop project-based learning. I was lucky enough to enjoy learning directly from Stephanie Malia Krauss for professional development training in June 2022. I can honestly say this was one of the best experiences I've ever had in my 26 years of teaching! We began just days after closing out the previous school year, and I was just exhausted, but Ms. Krauss not only energized and motivated us, but she also created a cohesive group of 23 educators with varied backgrounds, grade levels, and experiences. I am struck by just how close-knit we'd become after just four short days of being together. Thought-provoking and powerful, this novel is a MUST-READ book for the health of ourselves and our students. Everyone's mental health has been impacted by the pandemic.
