FULL DESCRIPTION
Step into the next chapter of pioneer storytelling with this complete collection of The Rocky Ridge / Rose Years series, a vibrant continuation of the Little House legacy as seen through the life of Rose Wilder Lane, daughter of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Spanning eight beautifully written novels, this set guides young Rose from her childhood in the drought-stricken Midwest to coming of age in cities and farms, always with courage, heart, and a love of family and frontier life.
Each volume captures a distinct stage of Rose’s journey:
Moving across the challenging landscapes toward Missouri, full of hope and adventure
Struggling to adjust at Rocky Ridge Farm, making new friends, dealing with school, natural disasters, and growing responsibilities
Witnessing the turn of the century, first harvests, first love, and finally striking out toward her own dreams in larger towns and cities
Written by Roger Lea MacBride (with Rose Wilder Lane as the central character), these novels blend vivid historical setting, family warmth, and the challenges of early American pioneer life in a way that is both educational and deeply moving.
Why this set is perfect:
Perfect for readers aged 8–12, or anyone who cherishes historical family sagas
Offers continuity: you grow with Rose, seeing her mature while facing real, often universal, struggles
Rich in detail: from frontier hardships to personal triumphs, the series paints full portraits of a changing America
Whether given as a gift or read cover to cover, this full set is a journey through bravery, growth, and the pioneering spirit. A must-have for collectors or families who want stories that combine history, heart, and hope.
