This is an excellent copy of Elisabeth Blackwells original "A Curious Herbal" because it was written in the 1700’s and the information is in the public domain. Generally speaking, when taken from the P. D. the quality of lithographs is poor and the writing illegible. This however is an absolutely beautifully done book. The cover is exceptional in sturdiness and composition. The inside is very nicely arranged. I rarely see such a well done copy of a book almost 300 years old (1737- 2037). As an artist myself, I am over the top with this book as you can tell. The original writings also contain information about herbal application used at the time. It both interesting and beautiful.I’m so happy to be able to purchase this book of over 500 pages for an excellent price!!!

This book is stunning. It’s large, so you’ll want a big bookshelf spot for it, or leave it on a table to enjoy often. It’s a gorgeous addition to any botanical library.

If you enjoy antique flower illustrations this book is AMAZING. Great coffee table book but it’s just gorgeous to look at.
