ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Gisbert L. Brunner, born in 1947, is a renowned German watch expert and author. Since 1964, he has been passionate about wristwatches, pendulum clocks, and other precision timepieces. His interest intensified during the 1970s quartz crisis, leading him to focus on mechanical watches. Brunner has authored over 20 books on horology and contributes to esteemed publications like Chronos Japan and ZEIT Magazine. In 2018, he co-founded the online platform uhrenkosmos.com
. He also serves as a jury member for the Red Dot Design Award.
