Slow horses rock! Great riveting read

Having discovered this series through the Apple TV version I decided to see if the books were as good as the TV show. I got the first in the series out of our local library and loved it. The characters come alive from the page. There are details in the books that don’t make the screen and things on screen that Mick Herron didn’t write. The writing is super sharp and not a single word is wasted. The humour never gets in the way of the stories but propels the narrative. I have read many of his other works and loved them so when I saw the entire set at such a good price on Amazon I jumped. These are books to read again and again.

Love Mick Herron’s anarchic style and was delighted to get the whole Slough House series at such a reasonable price.

Not quite what I expected. I thought the books were in a box file. I probably didn't read the sales information thoroughly enough.

The original British editions of this incredible series do not disappoint. Fun, twisty and well fleshed out characters. The dialogue is some of the best since Gregory McDonald's Fletch series. Highly recommended!
